Common questions

I forgot my password.

The mobile app does not have a password reset screen. Ask your administrator to reset it, or use the “Forgot password” link on the UfitMotion web sign-in page. Once the password is changed, sign in on the phone with the new one and choose Check Online if the app does not accept it immediately — that re-authenticates against the server and refreshes your local data.

I cannot sign in, or the app says my account has no role.

Accounts are created and assigned roles by administrators at your organization; there is no public sign-up. If the app reports no assigned role, your account exists but has not been given one yet — contact your administrator.

Why does the app ask for my location, and does it track me all the time?

GPS readings verify the time you spend on site at a school. The app records your position only while you have GPS logging switched on for an active session, and one tap turns it off. While it is running you will see a permanent notification on Android or the system location indicator on iOS. It never records your position when logging is off. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

GPS logging is not recording anything.

Check three things. First, that location permission is set to Always allowin your device settings — with “While using the app” only, logging stops when the screen locks. Second, that battery saver or battery optimization is not restricting UfitMotion. Third, that location services are enabled on the device at all. After changing a setting, turn logging off and on again.

Can I use the app with no signal?

Yes. UfitMotion is offline-first. Your assignments, students and resources are downloaded to the device, and attendance and reports can be completed with no connection. Open Sync when you are back online to send everything to the server. Do not uninstall the app while work is still unsynced — uninstalling clears local data.

My reports or attendance are not showing up for my supervisor.

They are probably still queued on the device. Open Sync and let it finish while you have a connection. If sync reports an error, email us the message.

How do I turn on Face ID or fingerprint sign-in?

Go to Profile → Security → Biometric sign-in. It is optional. Your credentials are kept in the device’s secure store (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore), and turning the setting off clears them.

How do I change my password?

Profile → Security → Change password in the app.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Accounts are owned by the organization that issued them, so start with your administrator. You can also email operations@ufitonline.net and we will action the request or route it to the organization responsible for the records.

Which devices are supported?

UfitMotion runs on iPhone (iOS 16.4 and later) and Android phones (Android 7.0 and later). The app is designed for phones; tablets are not officially supported.
